Career opportunities for MSc's in Aquatic Science and Technology

Two thirds of the earth is covered by water and is under strong influence by human activities and climate change.

 

To ensure food supply and environment for future generations, the world needs candidates who know how marine and freshwater ecosystems can be managed and exploited sustainably and who are able to develop new aquatic production systems.

 

As a MSc in Aquatic Science and Technology you will have cross-disciplinary qualifications for working with global issues within climate, environment and food supply.

 

Employment

MSc's in Aquatic Science and Technology may expect to be employed within four main areas:

Depending of your specialization you will be able to: 

  • Develop and operate up-to-date recirculation facilities within aquaculture.   
  • Develop effective and selective tools for sustainable fisheries management.
  • Design economical and environmentally sustainable management and production systems. 
  • Give quantitative advice about the impacts of climate change on aquatic organisms and ecosystems.
